Preparación, embalaje y despacho

Picking takes goods out of their locations for an order; packing puts them in packages. From the back office you organise the work in waves and pick lists and follow how it advances.

Waves, pick lists and lines

Piece	What it is
Pick wave	A group of pick lists released to the floor together.
Pick list	The goods to pick for one order, in one warehouse. It belongs to a wave.
Pick line	One product, from one location and one lot, with the quantity requested.

Waves and pick lists are created by hand on this screen: the system does not generate them from sales orders. Several of its forms ask for internal identifiers (of the order, the user, the product, the location) instead of numbers or names, and the lists show those identifiers shortened. The picking itself is done on the handheld: see Picking in the Kubrik WMS Mobile guide.Las oleadas y las listas de preparación se crean a mano en esta pantalla: el sistema no las genera a partir de los pedidos de venta. Create and release a wave

Crear y liberar una oleada

Open Pick Lists and stay on the Pick Waves tab.
Press New Wave.
Type anything in Wave Number. The form requires it, but the system assigns its own number, such as WAVE-000001.
Choose the Warehouse, the Strategy (Single Order, Batch or Zone) and the Priority, where 0 is the highest.
Press Create Wave. The wave is created as Planned.
When its pick lists are ready, choose Release Wave in the menu of the row.

Abrí Listas de preparación y quedate en la pestaña Oleadas de preparación.
Tocá Nueva oleada.
Escribí cualquier cosa en Número de oleada. El formulario lo pide, pero el sistema asigna su propio número, como WAVE-000001.
Elegí el Depósito, la Estrategia (Pedido único, Lote o Zona) y la Prioridad, donde 0 es la más alta.
Tocá Crear oleada. La oleada se crea como Planificado.
Cuando sus listas estén armadas, elegí Liberar oleada en el menú de la fila.

Releasing only changes the status of the wave: it does not create lists and does not reserve stock. A wave goes to In Progress when one of its lists is started and to Completed when all of them are finished. A wave cannot be cancelled.

Liberar solo cambia el estado de la oleada: no crea listas ni reserva stock. Una oleada pasa a En progreso cuando se inicia una de sus listas y a Completado cuando se terminan todas. Una oleada no se puede cancelar.

Create a pick list and its lines

Go to the Pick Lists tab and press New Pick List.
Choose the Warehouse and, in Link to Wave (optional), a wave that is planned or released. Although the label says optional, the list is not created without a wave.
Paste the identifier of the order in Order ID (optional). It is also required, and it has to be the internal identifier, not the order number.
Press Create Pick List. The list is created as Planned and without lines.
Open the list and press Add Line. The form asks for the identifier of the product (SKU ID), the identifier of the location (From Location ID), an optional lot and the Requested Quantity.

Andá a la pestaña Listas de preparación y tocá Nueva lista de preparación.
Elegí el Depósito y, en Vincular a oleada (opcional), una oleada planificada o liberada. Aunque el rótulo diga opcional, la lista no se crea sin oleada.
Pegá el identificador del pedido en ID de pedido (opcional). También es obligatorio, y tiene que ser el identificador interno, no el número del pedido.
Tocá Crear lista de preparación. La lista se crea como Planificado y sin líneas.
Abrí la lista y tocá Agregar línea. El formulario pide el identificador del producto (SKU ID), el identificador de la ubicación (From Location ID), un lote opcional y la Requested Quantity.

Lines can be added while the list is planned or assigned, not once picking started.
If you leave the lot empty, the system chooses for you the lot in that location that expires first.
Adding a line does not reserve stock and does not check that the quantity is there. The check happens when the list is completed.

Las líneas se pueden agregar mientras la lista está planificada o asignada, no cuando ya empezó la preparación.
Si dejás el lote vacío, el sistema elige por vos el lote de esa ubicación que vence primero.
Agregar una línea no reserva stock ni revisa que la cantidad esté. La revisión se hace cuando se completa la lista.

Assign, pick and complete

Asignar, preparar y completar

Assign the picker. In the menu of a planned list choose Assign Picker, paste the identifier of the user in User ID and press Assign. The list becomes Assigned.
Start. Choose Start Picking. Only an assigned list can be started.
Record each line. On the list page, in the menu of a line: Confirm Pick with the quantity picked, or Short Pick with the quantity that was missing.
Complete. When no line is pending, press Complete (or Mark Complete in the list of pick lists).

Asigná el preparador. En el menú de una lista planificada elegí Asignar preparador, pegá el identificador del usuario en ID de usuario y tocá Asignar. La lista pasa a Asignado.
Iniciá. Elegí Iniciar preparación. Solo se puede iniciar una lista asignada.
Registrá cada línea. En la página de la lista, en el menú de una línea: Confirmar preparación con la cantidad preparada, o Preparación parcial con la cantidad que faltó.
Completá. Cuando no queda ninguna línea pendiente, tocá Completar (o Marcar como completado en la lista de listas de preparación).

Stock goes down when the list is completed, not when each line is confirmed. At that moment the picked quantity of every line leaves its location and lot. If one location does not have enough available units, the whole completion is refused and nothing is taken out.El stock baja cuando se completa la lista, no cuando se confirma cada línea. En ese momento la cantidad preparada de cada línea sale de su ubicación y lote. Si una ubicación no tiene suficientes unidades disponibles, se rechaza la finalización entera y no sale nada.

Status of a pick list	Meaning	What it allows
Planned	Created.	Add lines, assign the picker.
Assigned	It has a picker.	Add lines, start.
In Progress	Being picked.	Confirm or short-pick lines, complete.
Completed	Finished with every line picked. The stock left the locations.	Packing.
Short Picked	Finished with at least one line short. The stock that was picked left the locations.	Packing.

Estado de una lista	Qué significa	Qué permite

The filters also offer Draft and Cancelled, which stay empty: waves and pick lists do not take those statuses and cannot be cancelled.

Los filtros también ofrecen Borrador y Cancelado, que quedan vacíos: las oleadas y las listas no toman esos estados y no se pueden cancelar.

Packing

Packing Sessions lists the packing sessions with their pick list, order, packer, station and status. Click a session and go to the second tab, Active Session, to see its packages.

Sesiones de Empaque lista las sesiones de embalaje con su lista de preparación, orden, empacador, estación y estado. Hacé clic en una sesión y andá a la segunda pestaña, Sesión activa, para ver sus paquetes.

New Package adds a package with a Package Number you type and a Package Type: Box, Envelope, Pallet, Tube or Crate. The first package moves the session to in progress.
Add Item puts a product and a quantity in an open package.
Close Package closes it, with an optional Weight and Tracking Number. An empty package cannot be closed.
Void cancels an open package after confirming. View Lines shows what a package holds.
Complete finishes the session. It needs at least one package, and every package closed or voided.
Packing does not change stock: the units already left when the pick list was completed.

Nuevo paquete agrega un paquete con un Número de paquete que escribís vos y un Tipo de paquete: Caja, Sobre, Pallet, Tubo o Cajón. El primer paquete pasa la sesión a en curso.
Agregar artículo pone un producto y una cantidad en un paquete abierto.
Cerrar paquete lo cierra, con Peso y Número de seguimiento opcionales. Un paquete vacío no se puede cerrar.
Anular anula un paquete abierto después de confirmar. Ver líneas muestra lo que tiene un paquete.
Completar termina la sesión. Necesita al menos un paquete, y todos los paquetes cerrados o anulados.
El embalaje no cambia el stock: las unidades ya salieron cuando se completó la lista de preparación.

New Session does not start a session from this screen yet: the action fails whatever you fill in. Use the screen to follow and finish the sessions that exist. Shipping

Despacho

The Inventory module has no shipments screen yet. The Shipments entry of the menu and the New Shipment shortcut of the outbound page take you back to the module home. Shipments of sales orders are handled in Orders → Order Management → Shipments.

El módulo Inventario todavía no tiene pantalla de envíos. La entrada Envíos del menú y el atajo New Shipment de la página de salida te devuelven al inicio del módulo. Los envíos de los pedidos de venta se manejan en Pedidos → Gestión de Pedidos → Envíos.

Common issues

Problemas habituales

"Failed to create pick list": The wave or the order identifier is missing, or the identifier is not valid. Both are required.
"Cannot add pick list to wave in status: …": The wave is already in progress or completed. Choose a planned or released wave.
"Failed to start picking": The list has no picker. Assign it first: only an assigned list can be started.
"Cannot add lines to pick list in status: …": Picking already started. Lines can only be added before.
"No available stock for SKU … at location …": The location has no available units of that product. Choose another location.
"Picked quantity cannot exceed requested quantity. Requested: …": Type a quantity up to the requested one.
"All pick lines must be picked, short-picked, or cancelled before completing": A line is still pending. Confirm it or record it as short.
"Insufficient available quantity. Available: …": When completing, a location did not have the picked units available. Check its stock, correct it and complete again.
"Cannot close an empty package": Add at least one item to the package, or void it.
"All packages must be closed or voided before completing the session": Close or void the open packages.
The Priority column of a wave says Unknown: It is a wave with priority 0. The value is right; only its display is wrong.

«No se pudo crear la lista de preparación»: Falta la oleada o el identificador del pedido, o el identificador no es válido. Los dos son obligatorios.
«Cannot add pick list to wave in status: …»: La oleada ya está en progreso o completada. Elegí una oleada planificada o liberada.
«No se pudo iniciar la preparación»: La lista no tiene preparador. Asignala primero: solo se puede iniciar una lista asignada.
«Cannot add lines to pick list in status: …»: La preparación ya empezó. Las líneas solo se agregan antes.
«No available stock for SKU … at location …»: La ubicación no tiene unidades disponibles de ese producto. Elegí otra ubicación.
«Picked quantity cannot exceed requested quantity. Requested: …»: Escribí una cantidad hasta la solicitada.
«All pick lines must be picked, short-picked, or cancelled before completing»: Queda una línea pendiente. Confirmala o registrala como faltante.
«Insufficient available quantity. Available: …»: Al completar, una ubicación no tenía disponibles las unidades preparadas. Revisá su stock, corregilo y completá de nuevo.
«Cannot close an empty package»: Agregá al menos un artículo al paquete, o anulalo.
«All packages must be closed or voided before completing the session»: Cerrá o anulá los paquetes abiertos.
La columna Prioridad de una oleada dice Desconocido: Es una oleada con prioridad 0. El valor está bien; solo se muestra mal.
