Charge with Mercado Pago without typing an amount.
The amount comes from the sale and goes straight to the Point terminal or to a QR on screen. The approved payment comes back to the till on its own, with card, instalments and operation number. If something drops, Kubrik rescues it. Nobody keys in amounts and no payment is left hanging.
Kubrik builds the Mercado Pago till for you.
There's no need to open the Mercado Pago panel to create tills or switch terminal modes. Everything is done from the Mercado Pago tab of the POS fiscal configuration, and each step is checked against Mercado Pago before it's saved.
- If you load a test account as live, or the other way round, Kubrik detects it and won't save it.
- The till must belong to the chosen store and use a fixed amount, so the buyer never types the total.
- Only one terminal in POS mode per till. If another one is there, Kubrik warns you.
- The live account can't be switched while tills are open, and each payment remembers which account it used.
Kubrik suggests the till identifier from the branch and point of sale. You can also enable a till you already created in Mercado Pago. The example data is fictitious.
From F5 to "payment approved", without anyone touching a number.
This is a payment with the Point terminal in POS mode. Click a step or let it play.
The identifiers are examples. The states and calls are the real ones from Mercado Pago's Orders API.
And when it doesn't go as expected
The cashier sees the reason in words, not a code: declined by the bank, insufficient funds, over the card limit, card disabled, the bank asks for phone authorization, instalments not available. They can try another method on the same sale.
With Esc the cashier cancels the order even if it's already on the terminal. If Mercado Pago won't allow it, the till says to cancel it with the terminal's button. The payment record isn't deleted: it stays cancelled, in case a late payment arrives.
Before cancelling, Kubrik looks at the order again. If the payment went through in that second, it isn't lost: it's applied to the sale and the cashier is told. If it arrives after cancelling, it's recorded separately so it can be refunded.
Sometimes Mercado Pago can't report the result and asks you to check the terminal. The till asks: "Yes, it was approved", "No, it was declined" or "I can't check right now". Until it's answered, that sale won't accept another Mercado Pago payment, so nobody is charged twice.
One QR per sale, on the till screen.
With F6 the till shows a QR generated for that sale, with the amount already set. The customer scans it with whatever wallet they use and the till finds out on its own.
Interoperable
Pay with Mercado Pago, Cuenta DNI, Modo, Ualá, Personal Pay and other wallets.
With the sale details
Items travel with the order. For a partial payment or a weighed sale, a single line with the ticket number goes instead.
Expires on its own
After 5 minutes, configurable. The till checks every 5 seconds and closes the payment as expired if nobody paid.
No printed QR
The QR is dynamic with a fixed amount: there's no counter sign anyone could swap.
Three ways to find out. No payment gets lost.
If the internet drops or a notice never arrives, another path settles it. All three end in the same place, and applying the same payment twice has no effect.
Stuck payments screen
The manager sees payments older than 5 minutes and can force a check, mark one as paid with its payment number, or void it with a note.
Everything is audited
Cancellations, terminal confirmations, late payments, refunds and manual fixes, with who did them: a person or the system.
The till knows whether it can charge
If the Mercado Pago till is missing or no terminal is in POS mode, the F5 and F6 buttons turn off and explain why.
Money goes back the way it came in.
Refunds
- A return with a credit note refunds through Mercado Pago, in full or in part, from Kubrik.
- Voiding a sale that was already paid refunds each chosen payment. If a refund fails, it waits on a screen to be resolved.
- Kubrik checks Mercado Pago's deadlines: 180 days for cards and 90 for wallet. Past them, it suggests cash or a voucher.
- A partial refund never exceeds what's left to refund.
Security
- The access token and notice secret are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM and never shown.
- Every notice is validated with HMAC-SHA256 before it touches a sale. One with a bad signature is rejected and not stored.
- Configuring Mercado Pago needs its own permission. Cashiers charge; they don't configure.
- There's an internal test mode for training without moving money, and the till warns when the account is a test one.
