Configurar embudos y etapas
A pipeline is the list of stages a deal goes through, from the first contact to won or lost. You need at least one pipeline with its stages before creating opportunities.
Un embudo es la lista de etapas por las que pasa un negocio, desde el primer contacto hasta ganado o perdido. Hace falta al menos un embudo con sus etapas antes de crear oportunidades.

Every stage has a type and a probability, and both act on the opportunities that reach it.
Cada etapa tiene un tipo y una probabilidad, y los dos actúan sobre las oportunidades que llegan a ella.

Every pipeline needs at least one WON stage and one LOST stage. An opportunity is won or lost only by moving it to a stage of that type: there is no other button to close a deal.Cada embudo necesita al menos una etapa WON y una etapa LOST. Una oportunidad se gana o se pierde únicamente moviéndola a una etapa de ese tipo: no hay otro botón para cerrar un negocio.
Create a pipeline with its stages
Crear un embudo con sus etapas
- Press New Pipeline.
- Type the Code and the Name. The code identifies the pipeline, cannot be repeated and cannot be changed later.
- Add a Description if it helps to tell pipelines apart.
- Tick Default Pipeline if this is the main one: the Sales home page shows the summary of the default pipeline.
- Press Add Stage under Initial Stages once for each stage. For each one type Code and Name, and set Sort Order, Probability % and Type. The order comes proposed as 10, 20, 30, which leaves room to insert stages later.
- Press Create. The pipeline is saved with all its stages.
- Tocá Nuevo embudo.
- Escribí el Código y el Nombre. El código identifica al embudo, no se puede repetir y después no se puede cambiar.
- Agregá una Descripción si ayuda a distinguir un embudo de otro.
- Marcá Embudo predeterminado si es el principal: la página de inicio de Ventas muestra el resumen del embudo predeterminado.
- Tocá Agregar etapa en Etapas iniciales una vez por cada etapa. En cada una escribí Código y Nombre, y poné Orden, Probabilidad % y Tipo. El orden viene propuesto como 10, 20, 30, lo que deja lugar para intercalar etapas después.
- Tocá Crear. El embudo queda guardado con todas sus etapas.
A typical pipeline has a few OPEN stages with growing probability (for example qualification, proposal, negotiation), one WON stage at one hundred percent and one LOST stage at zero.
Un embudo típico tiene algunas etapas OPEN con probabilidad creciente (por ejemplo calificación, propuesta, negociación), una etapa WON al cien por ciento y una etapa LOST en cero.
Change a pipeline
Modificar un embudo
Click the pipeline in the list to open it. Edit Pipeline changes the name, the description, whether it is the default and whether it is Active. The Stages tab lists the stages in order with their code, type, probability and status.
Hacé clic en el embudo en la lista para abrirlo. Editar embudo cambia el nombre, la descripción, si es el predeterminado y si está Activo. La pestaña Etapas lista las etapas en orden con su código, tipo, probabilidad y estado.
- Add a stage: press Add Stage, fill in Code, Name, Sort Order, Probability (%) and Stage Type, and press Create.
- Change a stage: press the pencil on its row. You can change everything except the code, and untick Active to retire it.
- Delete a stage: press the bin on its row and confirm.
- See the whole pipeline: the Summary tab counts the stages by type (Open Stages, Won Stages, Lost Stages) and draws the Pipeline Flow from the first stage to the last.
- Agregar una etapa: tocá Agregar etapa, completá Código, Nombre, Orden, Probabilidad (%) y Tipo de etapa, y tocá Crear.
- Modificar una etapa: tocá el lápiz de su fila. Podés cambiar todo menos el código, y desmarcar Activo para retirarla.
- Eliminar una etapa: tocá el tacho de su fila y confirmá.
- Ver el embudo completo: la pestaña Resumen cuenta las etapas por tipo (Etapas abiertas, Etapas ganadas, Etapas perdidas) y dibuja el Flujo del embudo desde la primera etapa hasta la última.

Before deleting a stage, move its opportunities to another stage. The system does not check whether the stage is in use. If the stage has history, untick Active instead of deleting it.Antes de eliminar una etapa, mové sus oportunidades a otra etapa. El sistema no revisa si la etapa está en uso. Si la etapa tiene historia, desmarcá Activo en vez de eliminarla.

Changing the probability or the type of a stage does not touch the opportunities that are already in it. The new values apply the next time an opportunity is moved to that stage.Cambiar la probabilidad o el tipo de una etapa no toca las oportunidades que ya están en ella. Los valores nuevos se aplican la próxima vez que una oportunidad se mueva a esa etapa.
Common issues
Problemas habituales
- The pipeline is not saved when I press Create
- The usual cause is a code that another pipeline already uses. Type a different code.
- The Create button stays grey
- The pipeline needs Code and Name, and every stage you added needs its own Code and Name. Remove an empty stage with the cross on its card.
- "Failed to delete stage"
- The stage could not be removed. Edit it and untick Active instead.
- I cannot delete a pipeline
- Pipelines are not deleted. Edit the pipeline and untick Active to mark it as out of use.
- I ticked Default Pipeline on two pipelines
- The system does not untick the previous one. Edit the old one and untick it, so that only one pipeline is the default.
- El embudo no se guarda cuando toco Crear
- La causa habitual es un código que ya usa otro embudo. Escribí un código distinto.
- El botón Crear queda en gris
- El embudo necesita Código y Nombre, y cada etapa que agregaste necesita su propio Código y Nombre. Sacá una etapa vacía con la cruz de su tarjeta.
- «No se pudo eliminar la etapa»
- La etapa no se pudo quitar. Editala y desmarcá Activo.
- No puedo eliminar un embudo
- Los embudos no se eliminan. Editá el embudo y desmarcá Activo para marcarlo como fuera de uso.
- Marqué Embudo predeterminado en dos embudos
- El sistema no desmarca el anterior. Editá el viejo y desmarcalo, para que un solo embudo sea el predeterminado.
