Bundles, related products and catalogs
Paquetes, productos relacionados y catálogos
Three ways of tying products together: a bundle is a SKU made of other SKUs, a relationship points from one product to another, and a catalog is a named selection of products.
Bundles
Paquetes
A bundle is sold as one item but is made of several: a tool kit, a gift box. To build one, create a product family with Product Type Bundle, add a SKU to it, and list in that SKU the SKUs it contains. The Components tab appears only on SKUs of a bundle family.
- Open the bundle SKU and go to the Components tab.
- Press Add Component.
- Search the SKU in Search SKU and pick it from the list. The bundle itself is not offered.
- Type the Quantity of that SKU that goes into one bundle. It starts at 1.
- Tick Optional component if the bundle can be put together without it.
- Press Add. Repeat for each component.
Check Availability tells you how many bundles can be put together with the stock there is now. For each component it takes the available stock in all warehouses and divides it by the quantity the bundle needs; the bundle figure, Available units, is the lowest of those results. Every component enters the calculation, the optional ones too. The figure is worked out when you press the button and is not stored.
