Importing products from a file
Importar productos desde un archivo
Instead of typing products one by one you can load them from a file. The import wizard takes a CSV file with one row per product or SKU; the AI Import Studio reads a price list or catalogue spreadsheet and proposes how to load it.
En vez de escribir los productos uno por uno podés cargarlos desde un archivo. El asistente de importación toma un archivo CSV con una fila por producto o SKU; la Importación con IA lee una lista de precios o planilla de catálogo y propone cómo cargarla.

Import a CSV file with the wizard
Importar un archivo CSV con el asistente
- Go to Products → Workflows & Data → Imports and press New Import. The Import Wizard opens.
- Choose the Entity Type: Product Families or SKUs. Import the products first and the SKUs afterwards, because each SKU row names the product it belongs to.
- Press Download CSV template if you do not have a file yet. Fill it in and save it as CSV.
- Drag the file to the box or click it to choose the file, and press Upload & Continue.
- Choose what to do with existing records in On existing records (see the table below).
- Match each column of your file with a Target Field. The system proposes a match when it recognises the name. Leave — Skip — on the columns you do not want to load.
- Press Apply Mapping & Validate. The wizard checks every row and shows Total Rows, Processed and Errors, and a table with the result of each row and its error message.
- Press Continue to Commit and choose the Commit Mode (see below).
- Press Commit Import. The wizard returns to the list of imports.
- Check the status of the import in the list. Open it to see the detail.
- Entrá a Productos → Flujos de trabajo y datos → Importaciones y tocá Nuevo Importar. Se abre el Asistente de Importación.
- Elegí el Tipo de entidad: Familias de Productos o SKUs. Importá primero los productos y después los SKU, porque cada fila de SKU nombra el producto al que pertenece.
- Tocá Descargar plantilla CSV si todavía no tenés un archivo. Completala y guardala como CSV.
- Arrastrá el archivo al recuadro o hacé clic para elegirlo, y tocá Subir y continuar.
- Elegí qué hacer con los registros que ya existen en En registros existentes (mirá la tabla de abajo).
- Asigná cada columna de tu archivo a un Campo destino. El sistema propone una asignación cuando reconoce el nombre. Dejá — Omitir — en las columnas que no querés cargar.
- Tocá Aplicar mapeo y validar. El asistente revisa cada fila y muestra Filas totales, Procesadas y Errores, y una tabla con el resultado de cada fila y su mensaje de error.
- Tocá Continuar a confirmar y elegí el Modo de confirmación (mirá abajo).
- Tocá Confirmar importación. El asistente vuelve a la lista de importaciones.
- Revisá el estado de la importación en la lista. Abrila para ver el detalle.

Use a CSV file saved as UTF-8. The upload box mentions XLSX and XLS, but the wizard reads the file as text: an Excel file is not read correctly. In Excel, use Save as and choose CSV UTF-8.Usá un archivo CSV guardado como UTF-8. El recuadro de subida menciona XLSX y XLS, pero el asistente lee el archivo como texto: un archivo de Excel no se lee bien. En Excel, usá Guardar como y elegí CSV UTF-8.

The message "Import committed successfully" does not mean that the rows were loaded. With All or Nothing, an import with one wrong row ends as failed even though that message appears. Always look at the status and the number of errors in the list.El mensaje «Importación confirmada correctamente» no significa que las filas se hayan cargado. Con Todo o nada, una importación con una fila mal termina como fallida aunque aparezca ese mensaje. Mirá siempre el estado y la cantidad de errores en la lista.

When a column of your file matches an attribute, the list also offers it as a target, with the prefix attr: followed by the attribute code.

Revisar una importación
Imports lists every import with its file, type, status, total rows, processed rows, rows with error and date. Open one to see three tabs.
Importaciones lista cada importación con su archivo, tipo, estado, filas totales, filas procesadas, filas con error y fecha. Abrí una para ver tres pestañas.

The Import Dashboard adds up all the imports of your company: total, completed, failed, average error rate, the count by status and the most recent ones. To reach it, open the Products home, press Import Products and choose Import Dashboard in Data Operations.
El Panel de Importaciones suma todas las importaciones de tu empresa: total, completadas, fallidas, tasa de error promedio, la cantidad por estado y las más recientes. Para llegar, abrí el inicio de Productos, tocá Importar Productos y elegí Panel de Importaciones en Operaciones de Datos.

Deleting an import from the list removes its record. It does not remove the products that the import created.Eliminar una importación de la lista quita su registro. No quita los productos que esa importación creó.
Import a price list with the AI Import Studio
Importar una lista de precios con la Importación con IA
The Import Studio reads a spreadsheet as it comes, finds the header row and the sections, and proposes what each column is. From one file it can create categories, attributes, products, SKUs, sell prices and costs.
El Estudio de importación lee una planilla tal como viene, encuentra la fila de encabezado y las secciones, y propone qué es cada columna. De un archivo puede crear categorías, atributos, productos, SKU, precios de venta y costos.
- Go to Products → Workflows & Data → AI Import Studio.
- Drop the file on the page or press Choose file. It accepts .xlsx, .xls and .csv.
- Review the mapping. For each column, Maps to says what it is: SKU code, Barcode, Name, Sell price, Cost, Markup, Stock or (ignore). Why explains the proposal. Correct what is wrong.
- Check the values that apply to every row: currency, tax class, Target price list, SKU code prefix (used for rows that bring no code) and Cost target. The unit you choose is not applied yet: the SKUs are created with the unit EA.
- Press Confirm mapping. The Import stages table shows how many records each stage would create. Press a row to see a sample.
- Press Run import, then Yes, import to confirm. The import runs in the background and the Created and Failed columns fill in as it advances.
- Wait for Import complete.
- Entrá a Productos → Flujos de trabajo y datos → Importación IA.
- Soltá el archivo sobre la página o tocá Elegir archivo. Acepta .xlsx, .xls y .csv.
- Revisá el mapeo. Para cada columna, Asignar a dice qué es: Código SKU, Código de barras, Nombre, Precio de venta, Costo, Recargo, Stock o (ignorar). Por qué explica la propuesta. Corregí lo que esté mal.
- Revisá los valores que valen para todas las filas: moneda, clase de IVA, Lista de precios destino, Prefijo de código SKU (se usa en las filas que no traen código) y Destino del costo. La unidad que elijas todavía no se aplica: los SKU se crean con la unidad EA.
- Tocá Confirmar mapeo. La tabla Etapas de importación muestra cuántos registros crearía cada etapa. Tocá una fila para ver una muestra.
- Tocá Ejecutar importación, y después Sí, importar para confirmar. La importación corre en segundo plano y las columnas Creados y Fallidos se van completando.
- Esperá a que diga Importación completa.
- Preview (dry-run) recalculates the figures without writing anything. Run import stays disabled until there is a preview.
- Back to mapping lets you correct the mapping before running.
- Cancel import stops an import in progress. What was already created stays created.
- Recent imports, on the first screen, reopens one of the last six files uploaded in your company. The full guide is in Importing with AI.
- Previsualizar (simulación) recalcula las cifras sin escribir nada. Ejecutar importación queda deshabilitado hasta que haya una previsualización.
- Volver al mapeo te deja corregir el mapeo antes de ejecutar.
- Cancelar importación detiene una importación en curso. Lo que ya se creó queda creado.
- Importaciones recientes, en la primera pantalla, reabre uno de los últimos seis archivos subidos en tu empresa. La guía completa está en Importación con IA.

Run import writes to the catalogue and cannot be undone from this screen. Read the sample of each stage before confirming, above all the product names and the prices.Ejecutar importación escribe en el catálogo y no se puede deshacer desde esta pantalla. Leé la muestra de cada etapa antes de confirmar, sobre todo los nombres de los productos y los precios.
Exports and bulk operations
Exportaciones y operaciones masivas
Exports lets you create an export job for products, SKUs or categories and run it with Execute Export, and the job shows how many rows it gathered, but no download link is offered yet, so the file cannot be obtained from the screen. Bulk Operations shows Coming soon.
Exportaciones te deja crear un trabajo de exportación de productos, SKU o categorías y ejecutarlo con Execute Export, y el trabajo muestra cuántas filas reunió, pero todavía no ofrece un enlace de descarga, así que el archivo no se puede obtener desde la pantalla. Operaciones Masivas muestra Próximamente.
Common issues
Problemas habituales
- "Failed to upload file"
- The file could not be read. Check that it is a CSV file and that it is not open in another program.
- The mapping step shows strange symbols instead of my columns
- You uploaded an Excel file. Save it as CSV UTF-8 and start a new import.
- Accents and the ñ come out wrong
- The file is not saved as UTF-8. Save it again choosing CSV UTF-8.
- "Failed to save column mapping"
- No column is matched with a target field. Match at least one.
- The import ended as failed with "ALL_OR_NOTHING mode: … validation errors"
- With All or Nothing, one wrong row stops everything. Correct the rows listed in the Rows tab and import again, or choose Partial (skip errors).
- "Please choose an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file."
- The Import Studio accepts only those three types.
- "Import failed:" followed by a text
- The Import Studio could not finish. Read the text after the colon. Open the stage marked as failed to see its errors, correct the file or the mapping, and run it again.
- I cannot press Run import
- Press Preview (dry-run) first: the button is enabled only after a preview. If the import fails right after you confirm, your role may be allowed to analyse files but not to write to the catalogue.
- «Error al subir el archivo»
- No se pudo leer el archivo. Revisá que sea un archivo CSV y que no esté abierto en otro programa.
- El paso de mapeo muestra símbolos raros en vez de mis columnas
- Subiste un archivo de Excel. Guardalo como CSV UTF-8 y empezá una importación nueva.
- Las tildes y la ñ salen mal
- El archivo no está guardado como UTF-8. Guardalo de nuevo eligiendo CSV UTF-8.
- «No se pudo guardar el mapeo de columnas»
- No hay ninguna columna asignada a un campo destino. Asigná al menos una.
- La importación terminó como fallida con «ALL_OR_NOTHING mode: … validation errors»
- Con Todo o nada, una fila mal frena todo. Corregí las filas que figuran en la pestaña Filas e importá de nuevo, o elegí Parcial (omitir errores).
- «Elegí un archivo .xlsx, .xls o .csv.»
- El Estudio de importación acepta solo esos tres tipos.
- «La importación falló:» seguido de un texto
- El Estudio de importación no pudo terminar. Leé el texto que sigue a los dos puntos. Abrí la etapa marcada como fallida para ver sus errores, corregí el archivo o el mapeo, y ejecutala de nuevo.
- No puedo tocar Ejecutar importación
- Tocá primero Previsualizar (simulación): el botón se habilita recién después de una previsualización. Si la importación falla apenas confirmás, puede que tu rol permita analizar archivos pero no escribir en el catálogo.
