Canales y aptitud para publicar
A channel is a place where your products are shown: a web shop, a marketplace, a printed catalogue. Here you register your channels, define how product data is adapted for each one, preview the result and see how many products have blockers.
Un canal es un lugar donde se muestran tus productos: una tienda web, un marketplace, un catálogo impreso. Acá registrás tus canales, definís cómo se adaptan los datos para cada uno, ves cómo queda y cuántos productos tienen bloqueos.
Create a channel
Crear un canal
- Go to Products → Publishing → Channels and press New Channel.
- Type the Code (for example WEB_MAIN). It cannot be changed later.
- Type the Name.
- Choose the Channel Type: ECOMMERCE, MARKETPLACE, PRINT, POS or FEED.
- Press Create. The channel is created active.
- Entrá a Productos → Publicación → Canales y tocá el botón para crear un canal (Nuevo Channel).
- Escribí el Código (por ejemplo WEB_MAIN). No se puede cambiar después.
- Escribí el Nombre.
- Elegí el Tipo de canal: ECOMMERCE, MARKETPLACE, PRINT, POS o FEED.
- Tocá Crear. El canal se crea activo.
Edit, in the three-dot menu of the row or on the channel page, lets you change the name and the type, and untick Active to stop using the channel without deleting it. Delete removes it and cannot be undone.
Editar, en el menú de tres puntos de la fila o en la página del canal, te deja cambiar el nombre y el tipo, y destildar Activo para dejar de usar el canal sin borrarlo. Eliminar lo quita y no se puede deshacer.
Adapt the data for a channel
Adaptar los datos para un canal
Each channel may need the data in its own shape: a field with another name, or a value written differently. Open the channel and go to the Transformations tab.
Cada canal puede necesitar los datos con su propia forma: un campo con otro nombre, o un valor escrito de otra manera. Abrí el canal y andá a la pestaña Transformaciones.
- Press Add Rule.
- Choose the Rule Type (see the table below).
- Type the Source Field: the name of the field as the system has it. Run a preview first to read the exact names.
- Type the Target Field when the rule needs it.
- Fill in Configuration JSON when the rule needs it.
- Set the Sort Order. Rules are applied from the lowest number up.
- Press Create.
- Tocá Agregar regla.
- Elegí el Tipo de regla (mirá la tabla de abajo).
- Escribí el Campo de origen: el nombre del campo tal como lo tiene el sistema. Hacé primero una vista previa para leer los nombres exactos.
- Escribí el Campo de destino cuando la regla lo necesita.
- Completá JSON de configuración cuando la regla lo necesita.
- Poné el Orden de clasificación. Las reglas se aplican del número más bajo al más alto.
- Tocá Crear.

Check every rule with a real preview. The small Test Preview inside the rule form is only an illustration and does not match what the system does: a Field Map does not add a prefix or a suffix, and an Enum Map only works when the pairs are inside "mappings". A rule cannot be edited from the list: delete it with the bin and create it again.Comprobá cada regla con una vista previa real. La Vista previa de prueba que está dentro del formulario de la regla es solo una ilustración y no coincide con lo que hace el sistema: un Mapa de campos no agrega prefijo ni sufijo, y un Mapa de ENUM solo funciona cuando los pares están dentro de "mappings". Una regla no se puede editar desde la lista: borrala con el tacho y creala de nuevo.
Preview a product in a channel
Ver cómo queda un producto en un canal
- Open the channel and go to the Preview tab.
- Choose a product in Select Product Family. The list offers the first 200 products.
- Press Preview. A message says how many rules were applied, and a table shows each field with its Original value and its Transformed value. The values that changed are highlighted.
- Abrí el canal y andá a la pestaña Vista Previa.
- Elegí un producto en Seleccionar familia de productos. La lista ofrece los primeros 200 productos.
- Tocá Preview. Un mensaje dice cuántas reglas se aplicaron, y una tabla muestra cada campo con su valor Original y su valor Transformado. Los valores que cambiaron quedan resaltados.
The Field column of that table is where you read the field names to use in the rules. Attributes appear with the prefix attr_ followed by the attribute code.
La columna Campo de esa tabla es donde leés los nombres de campo para usar en las reglas. Los atributos aparecen con el prefijo attr_ seguido del código del atributo.
See how many products have blockers
Ver cuántos productos tienen bloqueos
Products → Publishing → Readiness opens Publish Readiness Dashboard. It examines up to 100 products that are not archived and counts how many have a blocker.
Productos → Publicación → Aptitud abre Panel de preparación para publicación. Examina hasta 100 productos que no estén archivados y cuenta cuántos tienen un bloqueo.

Use the figures at the top, not the product table. The Products table under the figures does not show the status, the readiness mark or the number of blockers of each product yet, and its rows do not open the detail. To find the affected products, look for those with missing mandatory attributes in each product page.Usá las cifras de arriba, no la tabla de productos. La tabla Productos que está debajo todavía no muestra el estado, la marca de listo ni la cantidad de bloqueos de cada producto, y sus filas no abren el detalle. Para encontrar los productos afectados, buscá los que tienen atributos obligatorios faltantes en la página de cada producto.
What does not send products anywhere yet
Lo que todavía no envía productos a ningún lado
- Publish Jobs: the Trigger Job form does not start a publication. No product data leaves the system from this screen.
- Schedules: a schedule can be saved, paused and deleted, but it is never run.
- Snapshots and Publish Analytics: they stay empty, because they are fed by publish jobs.
- Trabajos de Publicación: el formulario Disparar Job no inicia una publicación. Desde esta pantalla no sale ningún dato de producto del sistema.
- Programaciones: una programación se puede guardar, pausar y eliminar, pero nunca se ejecuta.
- Instantáneas y Analítica de Publicación: quedan vacías, porque se alimentan de los trabajos de publicación.
Common issues
Problemas habituales
- The preview says "No transformation rules applied — product data passes through unchanged."
- The channel has no rules, so the product is delivered as it is. The text appears in English.
- My Field Map rule changed nothing
- The source field name does not match any field of the product, or the target field is empty. Copy the name from the Field column of the preview.
- My Enum Map rule changed nothing
- The configuration has to be valid JSON with the pairs inside "mappings", and the left side has to be exactly the current value of the field, with the same capital letters.
- The product I want is not in the preview list
- The list offers only the first 200 products.
- Readiness shows fewer products than I have
- The panel examines up to 100 products.
- The search box in Channels does nothing
- The search boxes of Channels, Publish Jobs, Schedules and Snapshots do not filter the list yet.

- El canal no tiene reglas, así que el producto se entrega tal cual. El texto aparece en inglés.
- Mi regla de Mapa de campos no cambió nada
- El nombre del campo de origen no coincide con ningún campo del producto, o el campo de destino está vacío. Copiá el nombre de la columna Campo de la vista previa.
- Mi regla de Mapa de ENUM no cambió nada
- La configuración tiene que ser un JSON válido con los pares dentro de "mappings", y el lado izquierdo tiene que ser exactamente el valor actual del campo, con las mismas mayúsculas.
- El producto que quiero no está en la lista de la vista previa
- La lista ofrece solo los primeros 200 productos.
- Aptitud muestra menos productos de los que tengo
- El panel examina hasta 100 productos.
- El buscador de Canales no hace nada
- Los buscadores de Canales, Trabajos de Publicación, Programaciones e Instantáneas todavía no filtran la lista.
