Seguir y terminar promociones

The list, the calendar and the coupons screen show which promotions exist and in what state they are. From the detail of a promotion you activate it or cancel it.

La lista, el calendario y la pantalla de cupones muestran qué promociones existen y en qué estado están. Desde el detalle de una promoción la activás o la cancelás.

The list and the detail

La lista y el detalle

Promotions lists every promotion with its code, name, type, scope, stacking, dates, status and how many times it was used. Filter by Status at the top. Click a row to open Promotion detail, which shows the same data and three actions: Simulate, Activate when the promotion is compiled and not yet active, and Cancel when it is active.

Promociones lista cada promoción con su código, nombre, tipo, alcance, acumulación, fechas, estado y cuántas veces se usó. Filtrá por Estado arriba. Tocá una fila para abrir Detalle de la promoción, que muestra los mismos datos y tres acciones: Simular, Activar cuando la promoción está compilada y todavía no está activa, y Cancelar cuando está activa.

The status label is shown in English and in capitals in both languages.

La etiqueta de estado se muestra en inglés y en mayúsculas en los dos idiomas.

DRAFT	Created, with no compiled rule yet.	Nothing from the detail. Create it again.
COMPILE OK	The rule is correct. It does not discount yet.	Activate it.
COMPILE FAIL	The rule has errors.	Create it again with the right values.
ACTIVE	It takes part in the calculation.	Cancel it.
EXPIRED	Its end date passed. The change is automatic, within a minute of the end.	Nothing. It is final.
CANCELLED	Someone cancelled it.	Nothing. It is final.

The filters also offer Scheduled, Paused and a pending approval state. No screen puts a promotion in those states today: a promotion cannot be paused, and activating one does not wait for an approval or for its start date.Los filtros también ofrecen Programado, Pausada y un estado de aprobación pendiente. Hoy ninguna pantalla pone una promoción en esos estados: una promoción no se puede pausar, y activarla no espera una aprobación ni su fecha de inicio.

Dates: start and end

Fechas: inicio y fin

Start. It is shown in the list and the calendar. It does not delay the promotion: it counts from the moment you activate it.
End. When it passes, the status changes to EXPIRED by itself. A promotion without an end date stays active until you cancel it.
They cannot be changed. To move the dates, cancel the promotion and create a new one.

Inicio. Se muestra en la lista y en el calendario. No demora la promoción: cuenta desde el momento en que la activás.
Fin. Cuando pasa, el estado cambia solo a EXPIRED. Una promoción sin fecha de fin queda activa hasta que la canceles.
No se pueden cambiar. Para mover las fechas, cancelá la promoción y creá una nueva.

Open the promotion and press Cancel.
Confirm. The message warns that it is irreversible. The status changes to CANCELLED.
Check it. Open Cart preview, build a cart that used to get the discount and confirm that it no longer appears.

Abrí la promoción y tocá Cancelar.
Confirmá. El mensaje avisa que es irreversible. El estado cambia a CANCELLED.
Revisalo. Abrí Vista previa del carrito, armá un carrito que antes recibía el descuento y confirmá que ya no aparece.

Always do the last step, also after a promotion expires. The set of rules in use is put together again each time a promotion is activated. If the preview still shows the discount of a cancelled or expired promotion, tell your administrator right away.Hacé siempre el último paso, también después de que una promoción vence. El conjunto de reglas en uso se vuelve a armar cada vez que se activa una promoción. Si la vista previa sigue mostrando el descuento de una promoción cancelada o vencida, avisale enseguida a tu administrador.

The calendar

El calendario

Promotional calendar draws each promotion as a bar from its start to its end over a month. Move with the arrows or press Today; filter by Status and Type; hover a bar to read the code, the name and the status; click it to open the promotion. Promotions that are not active are drawn too. The tiles at the top count the active promotions, the ones that start in the next thirty days and the average duration.

Calendario promocional dibuja cada promoción como una barra desde su inicio hasta su fin sobre un mes. Movete con las flechas o tocá Hoy; filtrá por Estado y Tipo; pasá el cursor por una barra para leer el código, el nombre y el estado; tocala para abrir la promoción. También se dibujan las promociones que no están activas. Los mosaicos de arriba cuentan las promociones activas, las que empiezan en los próximos treinta días y la duración promedio.

Coupons

Cupones

Coupons is a read-only list of the promotions that have a code. Search by code or name, copy a code with the button next to it, and click a row to open the promotion. New coupon opens the same screen as New promotion: untick the automatic box there to give it a code. The Used and Per customer columns show counters and limits; this screen and the editor have no field to set a limit.

Cupones es una lista de solo lectura de las promociones que tienen código. Buscá por código o nombre, copiá un código con el botón de al lado y tocá una fila para abrir la promoción. Nuevo cupón abre la misma pantalla que Nueva promoción: desmarcá ahí la casilla de automática para darle un código. Las columnas Usados y Por cliente muestran contadores y límites; esta pantalla y el editor no tienen un campo para fijar un límite.

Common issues

Problemas habituales

"Cancel failed": The promotion was no longer active, for example because it had just expired or someone else cancelled it. Reload the page.
"Activate failed": The promotion has no correctly compiled rule, or your role cannot activate.
The Activate or Cancel button is not there: Activate appears only on a compiled promotion and Cancel only on an active one.
I need to stop a promotion for a few days: There is no pause. Cancel it and create it again later, or use the template that suppresses all promotions for a currency.
The Used counter stays at zero: It counts the sales in which a sales channel recorded the promotion. Previews and simulations do not count.
"No coupons match.": No promotion with a code matches the search or the status. Promotions marked as automatic are not listed here.

«Error al cancelar»: La promoción ya no estaba activa, por ejemplo porque acababa de vencer o la canceló otra persona. Recargá la página.
«Error al activar»: La promoción no tiene una regla compilada correctamente, o tu rol no puede activar.
No está el botón Activar o Cancelar: Activar aparece solo en una promoción compilada y Cancelar solo en una activa.
Necesito frenar una promoción unos días: No hay pausa. Cancelala y creala de nuevo más adelante, o usá la plantilla que suprime todas las promociones de una moneda.
El contador Usado queda en cero: Cuenta las ventas en las que un canal de venta registró la promoción. Las vistas previas y las simulaciones no cuentan.
«Ningún cupón coincide.»: Ninguna promoción con código coincide con la búsqueda o el estado. Las promociones marcadas como automáticas no figuran acá.
