Margin floor and approvals
Margen mínimo y aprobaciones
The margin guard compares every price with the cost of the product. You decide the minimum margin and whether a price under it is only flagged or needs the approval of another person.

Open a list and go to the Margin tab. The strip at the top sums up the list: the Mode of the margin guard, the Floor, how many prices are Below floor, how many have Cost unknown or FX missing, and the average margin. The table shows, for each price, the unit cost, the margin as a percentage and as an amount, the suggested minimum price and a status.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| OK | The margin is at or above the floor. |
| Below floor | The margin is under the floor. The Raise to min button opens the price with the suggested minimum already typed. |
| Cost unknown | No cost is recorded for the product, so the margin cannot be worked out. |
| FX missing | The cost is in another currency and there is no exchange rate in force today. |
| Estado | Significado |
|---|---|
Set the floor and the mode
Fijar el mínimo y el modo
- Press Cost settings on the Margin tab. The settings apply to the whole company, not only to this list.
- Choose the Mode. Off does not check. Advisory saves and warns. Strict sends to approval the changes that leave a price below the floor, and rejects new prices below it.
- Type the Minimum margin (floor), a percentage from 0 to 100.
- Choose At cart apply: what is done when promotions leave a sale under the floor at the moment a sales channel records them: Ignore, Warn or Block.
- Order the cost sources. The cost of a product is taken from the first source in the list that has a value for it. Use the arrows to reorder and the button on the right to switch a source on or off. At least one has to be on.
- Press Save.
Desactivado no controla. Asesor guarda y avisa.
| Cost source | Where the cost comes from |

Decide an approval
Decidir una aprobación
With the strict mode, a change that leaves a price below the floor waits in Approval inbox. Two kinds arrive there from this module: Manual price change, for one price edited by hand or loaded from a file, and Bulk re-price, which groups all the prices of one bulk change. The Scope filter lists other kinds too; the screens of this module do not produce them today.
- Open Approval inbox. It starts on the pending ones. The Expires column shows how much time is left.
- Click the row. The Price change card shows the old and the new price, the margin before and after, the floor, the shortfall and the suggested minimum. For a bulk change you see the list of prices.
- To approve, press Approve. A comment is optional.
- To reject, choose a Reason code and press Reject. The price stays as it was.
- Who can decide. Somebody with the approver role for price changes, or the tenant administrator. Nobody can approve a change they requested themselves.
- How long it waits. A request that nobody decides expires after twenty-four hours and the price is not changed. The change has to be made again.
- What happens on approval. Kubrik checks each price again before writing it. If the price was edited or deleted in the meantime, or is no longer below the floor, that price is skipped and the card says why: Skipped — entry edited, Skipped — entry deleted, Skipped — no longer below floor, Partly applied.
