Checking why a price came out that way

Revisar por qué salió ese precio

When a price surprises you, two things answer the question: which lists have the product today, and who changed what and when.

👤 Who: Pricing manager · Analyst📍 Where: Products → Catalog → SKUs → a product → Pricing · Prices & Promotions → Price Lists → Price history

See the price of a product in every list

Open the product in Products → Catalog → SKUs and go to its Pricing tab. At the top, Effective Price shows a price and the list it comes from. Under it, Active for this SKU shows the price of the product in each list, with its minimum quantity and its dates; a list in which the product has no price says so. Disabled for this SKU shows the lists that were switched off for this product: they are ignored when its price is decided, until you press Re-enable.

With the product in front of you, repeat the search of How Kubrik decides a price for the sale you are investigating.

  1. Start with the customer. Open each list that has the product and look at its Assignments tab: use the search box to find the customer, its main group or its segments.
  2. Then the branch and the channel. Look for the branch with the Default badge and for the sales channel.
  3. Discard what is not valid. An archived list, a list or a price outside its dates, a price whose minimum quantity the sale does not reach, a list in another currency.
  4. If two lists remain in the same step, compare the priority of the assignments and then the priority of the lists: the higher number wins.
  5. If nothing remains, the price comes from the lists with visibility BASE.

Cart preview does not answer this question. In that screen you type the unit price of each line yourself; it only works out promotions. It does not look up the price lists.

Price history records every change to the lists, their prices and their assignments. Nothing in it can be edited or deleted. You reach it from the Price history card of the Price Lists section, from the History tab of a list, which shows only that list, and from the History tab inside the Pricing tab of a product.

  1. Filter. By Product, Price list, User and a range of dates in From – to.
  2. Read the row. When, the kind of Change, the product and the list, the value Before → after, and Who made it.
  3. Open a bulk operation. A file import, a bulk re-price or a copy is a single row with its totals. Press View rows to see each price it touched, and Back to all changes to return.
