Reglas de acumulación y de canje

The rules say how many points a purchase gives and within which limits points can be used. They are written in a draft version, which has to be approved and activated before it takes effect.

Las reglas dicen cuántos puntos da una compra y dentro de qué límites se pueden usar los puntos. Se escriben en una versión borrador, que tiene que aprobarse y activarse para empezar a regir.

Rules decide how many points the company hands out, so they are not changed on the fly. You work on a draft, and the draft replaces the rules in force only after it goes through these states:

1. Open the programme and go to Rule set versions. The list shows each version with its number, Status and the dates in Submitted, Approved and Activated.
2. Press Create draft. The message "Draft created" appears and a new version is added, numbered after the last one. If the programme has a version in force, the draft starts as a copy of its rules.
3. Go to Earn rules or Redeem rules. Both tabs now show the draft, ready to edit.

1. Abrí el programa y andá a Versiones del conjunto de reglas. La lista muestra cada versión con su número, Estado y las fechas en Enviada, Aprobada y Activada.
2. Tocá Crear borrador. Aparece el mensaje «Borrador creado» y se agrega una versión nueva, numerada a continuación de la última. Si el programa tiene una versión vigente, el borrador arranca como copia de sus reglas.
3. Andá a Reglas de acumulación o a Reglas de canje. Las dos pestañas ahora muestran el borrador, listo para editar.

Only one draft can be open at a time: while there is one, Create draft is greyed out. When there is no draft, the two rule tabs show the version in force, read only. A programme without any version shows "No rule set yet — create a draft on the Versions tab."

Solo puede haber un borrador abierto a la vez: mientras exista uno, Crear borrador queda en gris. Cuando no hay borrador, las dos pestañas de reglas muestran la versión vigente, solo para leer. Un programa sin ninguna versión muestra «Todavía no hay un conjunto de reglas — creá un borrador en la pestaña Versiones.»

Write the earn rules

Escribir las reglas de acumulación

1. In Earn rules, press Add earn rule. A card is added with the rule.
2. Leave Trigger as it comes. It cannot be empty, but it does not change the calculation today: every rule applies to point-of-sale sales and to orders alike.
3. Choose the Formula kind: AMOUNT_MULT to give points for the amount of each line of the sale, or QTY_MULT to give points for the quantity of units.
4. Type the Rate (points per unit): how many points each unit of currency, or each unit sold, is worth.
5. Set Valid from and Valid to only if the rule is a promotion with dates. Left empty, the rule always applies.
6. Leave the three multiplier boxes empty. They are saved with the rule but are not applied to the calculation today.
7. Press Save earn rules. The message "Earn rules saved" appears. Saving replaces all the earn rules of the draft with what is on screen.

2. Dejá Disparador como viene. No puede quedar vacío, pero hoy no cambia el cálculo: toda regla se aplica por igual a las ventas del punto de venta y a los pedidos.
3. Elegí el Tipo de fórmula: AMOUNT_MULT para dar puntos por el importe de cada línea de la venta, o QTY_MULT para dar puntos por la cantidad de unidades.
4. Escribí la Tasa (puntos por unidad): cuántos puntos vale cada unidad de moneda, o cada unidad vendida.
5. Poné Válido desde y Válido hasta solo si la regla es una promoción con fechas. Si los dejás vacíos, la regla rige siempre.
6. Dejá vacíos los tres cuadros de multiplicadores. Se guardan con la regla pero hoy no se aplican al cálculo.
7. Tocá Guardar reglas de acumulación. Aparece el mensaje «Reglas de acumulación guardadas». Guardar reemplaza todas las reglas de acumulación del borrador por lo que está en pantalla.

How the points of a sale are calculated

Cómo se calculan los puntos de una venta

• The sale is scored line by line. For each line, the amount (or the quantity) is multiplied by the rate and the result is rounded to whole points, with halves rounded up.
• A rule is used only if the date of the sale falls between the start of the Valid from day and the start of the Valid to day. For a promotion that has to cover a last day in full, choose the following day in Valid to.
• If several rules apply to the same line, their points are added. A normal rule plus a promotion with dates gives the sum of both while the promotion lasts.
• The points of all the lines are added and recorded as one movement in the customer's account. A sale that gives zero points records nothing.

• La venta se puntúa línea por línea. Para cada línea, el importe (o la cantidad) se multiplica por la tasa y el resultado se redondea a puntos enteros, con las mitades hacia arriba.
• Una regla se usa solo si la fecha de la venta cae entre el comienzo del día de Válido desde y el comienzo del día de Válido hasta. Para una promoción que tiene que cubrir entero un último día, elegí el día siguiente en Válido hasta.
• Si varias reglas aplican a la misma línea, sus puntos se suman. Una regla normal más una promoción con fechas da la suma de las dos mientras dura la promoción.
• Los puntos de todas las líneas se suman y se asientan como un solo movimiento en la cuenta del cliente. Una venta que da cero puntos no asienta nada.

Example: with one rule of kind AMOUNT_MULT and rate 0.1, a line of 250 gives 25 points and a line of 84 gives 8 points (8.4 rounded); the sale gives 33 points.

Ejemplo: con una regla de tipo AMOUNT_MULT y tasa 0,1, una línea de 250 da 25 puntos y una línea de 84 da 8 puntos (8,4 redondeado); la venta da 33 puntos.

Write the redeem rules

Escribir las reglas de canje

The redeem rules set the limits for using points. No screen redeems points yet, so today these rules only leave the limits recorded. Of the redeem rules of a version, only the first one is used.

Las reglas de canje ponen los límites para usar puntos. Todavía ninguna pantalla canjea puntos, así que hoy estas reglas solo dejan asentados los límites. De las reglas de canje de una versión, se usa solo la primera.

Press Add redeem rule, fill in the fields and press Save redeem rules; the message "Redeem rules saved" confirms it.

Tocá Agregar regla de canje, completá los campos y tocá Guardar reglas de canje; el mensaje «Reglas de canje guardadas» lo confirma.

Submit or delete the draft

Enviar o eliminar el borrador

In Rule set versions, open the ⋮ menu of the draft. Submit for approval closes the draft for editing and answers "Submitted for approval". Delete draft asks for confirmation in the Delete draft window and removes it for good. The approval is designed to be done by a different person from the one who wrote or submitted the version.

En Versiones del conjunto de reglas, abrí el menú ⋮ del borrador. Enviar a aprobación cierra el borrador para edición y contesta «Enviada a aprobación». Eliminar borrador pide confirmación en la ventana Delete draft y lo quita definitivamente. La aprobación está pensada para que la haga una persona distinta de la que escribió o envió la versión.

Common issues

Problemas habituales

The rule fields are greyed out and there is no Add or Save button

You are looking at a version that is not a draft. Create a draft in Rule set versions.

"Failed to save earn rules"

A rule has the Trigger empty, or the version stopped being a draft while you were editing. Reload the page and check the status of the version.

"Invalid JSON in multipliers"

One of the multiplier boxes has text the system cannot read. Empty the three boxes and save again.

"Row 1: min points must be ≥ 1" and similar messages

A redeem rule has a value out of range; the message names the row and the field. It appears with the look of a confirmation, but nothing was saved: correct the value and save again.

"Failed to save redeem rules"

The version stopped being a draft while you were editing. Reload the page and check the status of the version.

"Action failed" right after deleting a draft

If the draft disappeared from the list, it was deleted: the message is wrong in that case. If it is still there, try again.

"A draft already exists" on Create draft

Finish the open draft first: submit it or delete it.

Sales are not giving points

The programme has no version in force (see the warning above), the programme is inactive, the sale has no customer, or automatic scoring is not switched on for your company. Sales that failed are listed in Purchases that were not scored.

Los campos de las reglas están en gris y no hay botón de Agregar ni de Guardar

Estás viendo una versión que no es borrador. Creá un borrador en Versiones del conjunto de reglas.

«No se pudieron guardar las reglas de acumulación»

Alguna regla tiene el Disparador vacío, o la versión dejó de ser borrador mientras editabas. Recargá la página y fijate el estado de la versión.

«Invalid JSON in multipliers»

Alguno de los cuadros de multiplicadores tiene un texto que el sistema no puede leer. Vaciá los tres cuadros y guardá de nuevo.

«Fila 1: los puntos mínimos deben ser ≥ 1» y mensajes parecidos

Una regla de canje tiene un valor fuera de rango; el mensaje dice la fila y el campo. Aparece con aspecto de confirmación, pero no se guardó nada: corregí el valor y guardá de nuevo.

«No se pudieron guardar las reglas de canje»

La versión dejó de ser borrador mientras editabas. Recargá la página y fijate el estado de la versión.

«La acción falló» justo después de eliminar un borrador

Si el borrador desapareció de la lista, se eliminó: en ese caso el mensaje está equivocado. Si sigue ahí, probá de nuevo.

«A draft already exists» en Crear borrador

Primero terminá el borrador abierto: envialo o eliminalo.

Las ventas no están dando puntos

El programa no tiene una versión vigente (mirá la advertencia de arriba), el programa está inactivo, la venta no tiene cliente, o la puntuación automática no está encendida para tu empresa. Las ventas que fallaron figuran en Compras que no se puntuaron.
