Two-step verification in your organization

La verificación en dos pasos en tu organización

With two-step verification a stolen password is not enough to enter. Each person turns it on for their own account; you follow who has it.

Con la verificación en dos pasos, una contraseña robada no alcanza para entrar. Cada persona la activa en su propia cuenta; vos seguís quién la tiene.

How it works for the organization

Cómo funciona para la organización

Kubrik decides whether it is offered. It is one of the feature switches of your organization. When it is on, every user finds the section Two-Factor Auth in their profile.
Each person turns it on. They do it themselves from their profile, with an authenticator app on their phone. The steps are in the Getting started section of the Kubrik OS manual.
Once on, it is always asked. From then on that person needs the code at every sign-in, and also to change their password.
Only the person can turn it off, with their password and a code from the app.

Kubrik decide si se ofrece. Es uno de los interruptores de funciones de tu organización. Cuando está encendido, cada usuario encuentra la sección Autenticación de Dos Factores en su perfil.
Cada persona la activa. Lo hace ella misma desde su perfil, con una aplicación autenticadora en el teléfono. Los pasos están en la sección Primeros pasos del manual de Kubrik OS.
Una vez activada, se pide siempre. Desde ese momento esa persona necesita el código en cada ingreso, y también para cambiar su contraseña.
Solo la persona puede desactivarla, con su contraseña y un código de la aplicación.

See who has it on

Ver quién la tiene activada

Open Settings → Users & Access → Tenant Users and look at the 2FA column. A shield means the person has two-step verification on; hold the pointer over it to read 2FA enabled. A dash means they have not turned it on.

Abrí Ajustes → Usuarios y Accesos → Usuarios del inquilino y mirá la columna 2FA. Un escudo significa que la persona tiene la verificación en dos pasos activada; dejá el puntero encima para leer 2FA habilitado. Un guion significa que no la activó.

The list has no filter for this column. To review everyone, go through the pages of the list.

Asking your people to turn it on

Today the system cannot force a user to turn two-step verification on. The window Edit User has the switch Require two-factor authentication, and it is saved, but it is not enforced yet: a user with the switch on keeps entering with the password alone.

Hoy el sistema no puede obligar a un usuario a activar la verificación en dos pasos. La ventana Editar usuario tiene el interruptor Exigir verificación en dos pasos, y se guarda, pero todavía no se hace cumplir: un usuario con el interruptor encendido sigue entrando solo con la contraseña.

Until that changes, make it a rule of the organization and check the 2FA column from time to time. Start with the people who hold Tenant Administrator and with those who approve payments or change prices.

Hasta que eso cambie, hacelo una regla de la organización y revisá cada tanto la columna 2FA. Empezá por las personas que tienen Tenant Administrator y por las que aprueban pagos o cambian precios.

Remind everyone to keep the backup codes. When turning it on, each person receives a set of codes that is shown only once. Without the phone and without those codes, the person cannot enter and you cannot solve it from Settings: it takes a request to Kubrik support.Recordales a todos que guarden los códigos de respaldo. Al activarla, cada persona recibe un juego de códigos que se muestra una sola vez. Sin el teléfono y sin esos códigos, la persona no puede entrar y vos no lo podés resolver desde Ajustes: hace falta pedírselo al soporte de Kubrik.

When someone loses the phone

Cuando alguien pierde el teléfono

Ask for a backup code. At the sign-in, a backup code is accepted in place of the code of the app. Each backup code works once.
Once inside, the person can create a new set of backup codes from their profile, to keep entering while the problem is solved.
To move two-step verification to a new phone, contact Kubrik support. Turning it off from the profile asks for a code of the app, which the person no longer has, and there is no option in Settings to remove it from a user. Once Kubrik removes it, the person turns it on again with the new phone.

Pedile un código de respaldo. En el ingreso, un código de respaldo se acepta en lugar del código de la aplicación. Cada código de respaldo sirve una vez.
Una vez adentro, la persona puede generar un juego nuevo de códigos de respaldo desde su perfil, para seguir entrando mientras se resuelve el problema.
Para pasar la verificación en dos pasos a un teléfono nuevo, contactá al soporte de Kubrik. Desactivarla desde el perfil pide un código de la aplicación, que la persona ya no tiene, y no hay una opción en Ajustes para quitársela a un usuario. Cuando Kubrik la quita, la persona la vuelve a activar con el teléfono nuevo.

Common issues

Problemas habituales

My users do not see the Two-Factor Auth section in their profile: It is not offered to your organization. Ask Kubrik support to turn it on.
I turned on Require two-factor authentication and the user still enters without a code: The switch is not enforced yet. The person has to turn two-step verification on from their profile.
"Too many failed attempts. Please log in again.": The person typed too many wrong codes and the account is locked for 15 minutes. Check that the phone has the right time: a clock that is off produces wrong codes.
Does the 2FA column show who used a code today?: No. It only shows whether two-step verification is on. The audit log records each time a code is accepted or refused.

Mis usuarios no ven la sección Autenticación de Dos Factores en su perfil: No se le ofrece a tu organización. Pedile al soporte de Kubrik que la encienda.
Encendí Exigir verificación en dos pasos y el usuario sigue entrando sin código: El interruptor todavía no se hace cumplir. La persona tiene que activar la verificación en dos pasos desde su perfil.
«Demasiados intentos fallidos. Por favor inicie sesión de nuevo.»: La persona escribió demasiados códigos equivocados y la cuenta queda bloqueada por 15 minutos. Revisá que el teléfono tenga la hora correcta: un reloj corrido produce códigos equivocados.
¿La columna 2FA muestra quién usó un código hoy?: No. Solo muestra si la verificación en dos pasos está activada. El registro de auditoría anota cada vez que un código se acepta o se rechaza.
