Primer arranque

What happens the first time the application starts, and how to create the first organisation with its administrator. The organisation is created from the public registration page and is activated from a link sent by e-mail.

Qué pasa la primera vez que arranca la aplicación, y cómo crear la primera organización con su administrador. La organización se crea desde la página pública de registro y se activa con un enlace que llega por correo.

What the first start does

Qué hace el primer arranque

  1. It checks the secret keys. With a key missing or invalid, it stops.
  2. It creates the database. It runs, in order, every migration that the image carries. On an empty database this is the longest part.
  3. It prepares the file store. With MinIO, it creates the bucket when it does not exist.
  4. It starts answering on port 8222.

In the log of backend you can follow it: a line Security configuration validated, a line Workflow secret key validated, and a box that ends with the edition followed by Edition initialized.

En el registro de backend lo podés seguir: una línea Security configuration validated, una línea Workflow secret key validated, y un recuadro que termina con la edición seguida de Edition initialized.

A new database already holds one sample organisation with the code acme and no users. Nobody can sign in to it. The code acme is therefore taken: choose another one for yours.Una base nueva ya trae una organización de ejemplo con el código acme y sin usuarios. Nadie puede ingresar a ella. Por eso el código acme está ocupado: elegí otro para la tuya.

Before you register

Antes de registrar

The organisation stays inactive until its owner opens the link of the verification e-mail. So outbound e-mail has to work first: set APP_MAIL_TRANSPORT to smtp or graph and APP_MAIL_VERIFICATION_LINK_BASE to the address of your administration app followed by /verify-email. With the log transport the message is not sent and the link is not written anywhere.

La organización queda inactiva hasta que su dueño abre el enlace del correo de verificación. Por eso primero tiene que funcionar el correo saliente: poné APP_MAIL_TRANSPORT en smtp o graph y APP_MAIL_VERIFICATION_LINK_BASE en la dirección de tu aplicación de administración seguida de /verify-email. Con el transporte log el mensaje no se envía y el enlace no queda escrito en ningún lado.

Create the organisation and its administrator

Crear la organización y su administrador

  1. Open the registration page. On the sign-in screen, next to Don't have an account?, press Create one; or go straight to /register.
  2. Fill in Your details: First name, Last name, Work email and Password, with Confirm password. The password needs between 8 and 128 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a digit.
  3. Fill in Organization: Organization name, Tenant code (letters, digits and hyphens, up to 32 characters; the screen tells you whether it is free), Country and Edition.
  4. Press Create my account. You see Check your email.
  5. Open the link of the e-mail within 24 hours. You see Email verified.
  6. Press Go to login and sign in. The Tenant ID field comes filled in with the identifier of the new organisation.

  2. Completá Tus datos: Nombre, Apellido, Correo laboral y Contraseña, con Confirmar contraseña. La contraseña lleva entre 8 y 128 caracteres, con una mayúscula, una minúscula y un dígito.
  3. Completá Organización: Nombre de la organización, Código de tenant (letras, números y guiones, hasta 32 caracteres; la pantalla te dice si está libre), País y Edición.
  4. Tocá Crear mi cuenta. Ves Revisa tu correo electrónico.
  5. Abrí el enlace del correo dentro de las 24 horas. Ves Correo verificado.
  6. Tocá Ir a iniciar sesión e ingresá. El campo ID de Inquilino viene completo con el identificador de la organización nueva.

The person who registers becomes the first administrator of the organisation. The country sets the currency of the organisation and the language of that first user.

Quien se registra queda como primer administrador de la organización. El país define la moneda de la organización y el idioma de ese primer usuario.

Write down the identifier of the organisation. Every user needs it to sign in, in the Tenant ID field. It is the long code that the sign-in screen shows filled in after the verification. To have every browser propose it, set it as defaultTenantId in the runtime file of the administration app; see Reverse proxy and HTTPS.Anotá el identificador de la organización. Todos los usuarios lo necesitan para ingresar, en el campo ID de Inquilino. Es el código largo que la pantalla de ingreso muestra completo después de la verificación. The registration page is public: anybody who reaches the administration app can create an organisation. If your installation is for a single company, restrict /register in your reverse proxy once yours is created.La página de registro es pública: cualquiera que llegue a la aplicación de administración puede crear una organización. Si tu instalación es para una sola empresa, restringí /register en tu proxy inverso una vez creada la tuya.

What the first administrator can do

Qué puede hacer el primer administrador

The first administrator manages their own organisation: users, roles, modules and settings. The screens that manage every organisation of the installation, under Platform → Tenants, need the platform administrator role. This version has no screen to grant that role on a new installation: ask Kubrik support.

El primer administrador gestiona su propia organización: usuarios, roles, módulos y ajustes. Las pantallas que gestionan todas las organizaciones de la instalación, en Plataforma → Inquilinos, necesitan el rol de administrador de plataforma. Esta versión no tiene una pantalla para dar ese rol en una instalación nueva: pedilo al soporte de Kubrik.

Common issues

Problemas habituales

The verification e-mail never arrives
Check the mail settings in Optional services and look in the log of backend for a line about that address. On the Check your email screen, Resend email sends it again.
"Verification failed"
The link was already used or more than 24 hours have passed. Sign in if the organisation is already active; otherwise register again or resend the e-mail.
"That tenant code is already taken"
Another organisation uses that code, or it is the sample code acme. Choose a different one.
"That email is already registered."
That address already owns an organisation in this installation. Use another address, or sign in.
"Too many attempts. Please try again later."
The registration page limits repeated attempts from the same place. Wait a few minutes.
The link of the e-mail opens another site
APP_MAIL_VERIFICATION_LINK_BASE is not set to your own address. Fix it, recreate the container and press Resend email.
El correo de verificación no llega
Revisá los ajustes de correo en Servicios opcionales y buscá en el registro de backend una línea sobre esa dirección. En la pantalla Revisa tu correo electrónico, Reenviar correo lo manda de nuevo.
«Falló la verificación»
El enlace ya se usó o pasaron más de 24 horas. Ingresá si la organización ya está activa; si no, registrate de nuevo o reenviá el correo.
«Ese código de tenant ya está en uso»
Otra organización usa ese código, o es el código de ejemplo acme. Elegí otro.
«Ese correo ya está registrado.»
Esa dirección ya es dueña de una organización en esta instalación. Usá otra dirección, o ingresá.
«Demasiados intentos. Probá de nuevo más tarde.»
La página de registro limita los intentos repetidos desde un mismo lugar. Esperá unos minutos.
El enlace del correo abre otro sitio
APP_MAIL_VERIFICATION_LINK_BASE no apunta a tu propia dirección. Corregilo, recreá el contenedor y tocá Reenviar correo.
