Kubrik OS is delivered in three editions: Community, Professional and Enterprise. The edition is chosen when the images are built and cannot be changed on a running installation.
Kubrik OS se entrega en tres ediciones: Community, Professional y Enterprise. La edición se elige al construir las imágenes y no se cambia en una instalación en marcha.
What the edition of the images decides
Qué decide la edición de las imágenes
- The application reports its edition at /actuator/info, so you can always check which one is running.
- The administration app only shows in its menu the modules of its edition. This is the visible difference between editions.
- The two images of an installation must be of the same edition.
- La aplicación informa su edición en /actuator/info, así que siempre podés revisar cuál está corriendo.
- La aplicación de administración solo muestra en el menú los módulos de su edición. Esa es la diferencia visible entre ediciones.
- Las dos imágenes de una instalación tienen que ser de la misma edición.

The plan of each organisation
El plan de cada organización
Besides the edition of the images, each organisation has its own plan, chosen when it is created. The plan decides which modules that organisation may turn on. The registration form offers the Professional and Enterprise plans.
Además de la edición de las imágenes, cada organización tiene su propio plan, elegido al crearla. El plan decide qué módulos puede activar esa organización. El formulario de registro ofrece los planes Professional y Enterprise.
How strictly modules are enforced

By default, turning a module off only hides it from the menu and blocks its screens; what each user can do is still decided by their role. If you also want the application to refuse the calls to a module that is off, set PMS_GATING_ENABLED to true. From then on, a call to a module that is off for the organisation is answered with error 409 (MODULE_DISABLED), and a change to a read-only module with 409 (MODULE_READ_ONLY). The platform and product modules are never refused.
De fábrica, apagar un módulo solo lo oculta del menú y bloquea sus pantallas; lo que puede hacer cada usuario lo sigue decidiendo su rol. Si además querés que la aplicación rechace las llamadas a un módulo apagado, poné PMS_GATING_ENABLED en true. Desde ahí, una llamada a un módulo apagado para la organización se contesta con el error 409 (MODULE_DISABLED), y un cambio en un módulo de solo lectura con 409 (MODULE_READ_ONLY). Los módulos de plataforma y de productos nunca se rechazan.
Check the running edition
Revisar la edición en marcha
Run curl http://localhost:8222/actuator/info. The answer carries the name KS-ERP, the edition in capitals (COMMUNITY, PROFESSIONAL or ENTERPRISE) and the version.
Corré curl http://localhost:8222/actuator/info. La respuesta trae el nombre KS-ERP, la edición en mayúsculas (COMMUNITY, PROFESSIONAL o ENTERPRISE) y la versión.
Change edition

Build the two images of the new edition and start the installation with the Compose file of that edition. Each Compose file keeps its data in its own volume (pgdata-community, pgdata-professional, pgdata-enterprise), so the new file starts with an empty database: move the data with a backup and a restore, as Backups and restore explains.
Construí las dos imágenes de la edición nueva y levantá la instalación con el archivo Compose de esa edición. Cada archivo Compose guarda sus datos en su propio volumen (pgdata-community, pgdata-professional, pgdata-enterprise), así que el archivo nuevo arranca con una base vacía: pasá los datos con una copia y una restauración, como explica Copias de seguridad y restauración.
